P.R.No:384- Chief Minister’s Solar Pump Set Subsidy Scheme for Farmers in the Nilgiris District

In the Nilgiris district, the Department of Agricultural Engineering is currently providing subsidies for solar pump sets to farmers. To reduce the expenses of farmers who use diesel engines for irrigation, solar-powered pump sets with capacities of 5, 7.5, and 10 horsepower are being installed in agricultural lands under this scheme. For the financial year 2025–2026, a target of 50 units has been allocated to the Nilgiris district.(PDF 119KB)
