In the Nilgiris District, the District Collector, Mrs. Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, I.A.S., inaugurated and flagged off the event as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) scheme, a signature campaign and cycle rally were organized on behalf of the Department of Social Welfare and Women’s Rights under the theme “Save the Girl Child and Teach the Girl Child”.
