P.R.No:293- Government Chief Whip provided Massive bank loan assistance to women’s self-help groups

A grand bank loan assistance distribution event for women’s self-help groups was held today (11.06.2025) under the auspices of the Tamil Nadu State Rural and Urban Livelihoods Mission, Women’s Programme at the Tribal Cultural Centre in Udhagamandalam, in the Nilgiris District.

The Government Chief Whip, Mr. K. Ramachandran, participated in the event and distributed a total of ₹39.83 crore in bank loan assistance through nationalized banks and cooperative bank branches to help start enterprises. This included ₹22.70 crore to 190 women’s self-help groups in rural areas and ₹17.13 crore to 188 women’s self-help groups in urban areas, benefiting a total of 278 women’s self-help groups.
