The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert warning for hefty rainfall tomorrow (05.08.2025). Due to this, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in some parts of the district, which may lead to landslides and the falling of trees or branches on roads, causing disruptions.

Therefore, considering the safety and well-being of school students, a one-day holiday has been declared for all schools in the Nilgiris district tomorrow (05.08.2025).(PDF 277KB)
