In celebration of the 2025 Pongal festival, the Tamil Nadu government has announced that as a Pongal gift, all ration cardholders receiving rice will be provided with 1 kilogram of raw rice, 1 kilogram of sugar, and one whole sugarcane. (PDF 38KB)
