P.R.No:742- Suggestions are invited for the Reorganization of Village Panchayats in the Nilgiris district

In the Nilgiris District, the District Collector, Mrs. Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, I.A.S., has announced that suggestions are invited from the Public, NGOs, and Residents Welfare Associations regarding the Reorganization of Village Panchayats.

Out of the 35 Village Panchayats currently in the Nilgiris District, a proposal has been made to reorganize them into a total of 96 Village Panchayats by:

• Dividing 27 of the Village Panchayats into 88 new Village Panchayats.
• Keeping the remaining 8 Village Panchayats undivided.
