P.R.No:93- Member of Parliament for Nilgiris inaugurated the Community Baby Shower Programe for Pregnant Women

In the Nilgiris district, the Community Baby Shower program (Samuthaya Valaikappu) for pregnant women, organized by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the Member of Parliament for the Nilgiris, Mr. A. Raja, in the presence of the Government Chief Whip, Mr. K. Ramachandran. During the event, he distributed nine types of traditional gift items and food to 100 pregnant women, including garlands, fruits, betel leaves and areca nuts, turmeric thread, kumkum, sandalwood paste, bangles, sarees, and sweets, and shared a meal with them.(PDF 46KB)
