e-Governance

e-District Projects:

It is a part of State Mission Mode Project (SMMP) under NeGP.The Project aims to apply Information Technology and Government processes reengineering on high volume Government services to improve them and electronically deliver them through the internet at home/Browsing Centers/Common Service Centers(CSCs).As per the G.O.(Ms) No.22,IT(e-Gov.II) Department, dated 06.12.2013 Government has decided to roll out the e-district projects.Also it was instructed to form District e-Governance Society in each District.As instructed , District eGovernance Society (DeGS), headed by the District Collector is formed in Nilgiris district.

e-District Revenue Services was rolled out in The Nilgiris District from 27/11/2013. There are 20 revenue services have been incorporated in eDistrict.They are

  5. Deserted Women Certificate
  6. Agricultural Income Certificate
  7. Small / Marginal Farmer’s Certificate

  12. Certificate for the loss of Educational Records due to the Disasters

  19. Money Lender License
  20. Other Backward Community Certificate

E-District Social Welfare Scheme has been rolled out in all blocks from 2014. There are 7 schemes included in eDistrict Social Welfare. They are :

Online Patta Transfer was rolled out in The Nilgiris District from 01/04/2015. The following services are available thru CSC’s:
