P.R.No:114- Extension of Time Limit for Registering the Child’s Name in Birth Certificates until 26.09.2026

As per the instructions of the Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths, India, the time limit for registering a child’s name and obtaining a birth certificate has been extended until 26.09.2026.

This extension applies to the following categories:

• Births registered before January 1, 2000.
• Births registered after January 1, 2000, where more than 15 years have passed since the initial registration.(PDF 51KB)
