P.R.No:163- District Collector has informed licensed arms holders to deposit their firearms at the nearest police station

Following the announcement of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly General Elections, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has officially come into force. Consequently, the Nilgiris District Collector, Mrs. Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, I.A.S., has issued a mandatory directive to all firearm license holders in the district. All individuals possessing licensed weapons are required to immediately deposit them at their Nearest Police Station or an Authorized Arms Security Depot.(PDF 69KB)
