P.R.No:253 – Show Cause Notices issued to candidates who failed to furnish their statement of accounts.

After the notification by the Election Commission of India for the General Election for Lok Sabha 2024, two Election Expenditure Observers have been appointed for the 19-Nilgiris (SC) Parliamentary Constituency by the Election Commission. As per the mandate of the Election Commission, the schedule for the inspection of candidates’ accounts was fixed for three days: 08.04.2024, 12.04.2024, and 17.04.2024. The venue of inspection was communicated to the Candidates/Agents well in advance.

As per the schedule, on 08.04.2024, 12.04.2024 and 17.04.2024 the Accounts Register of the candidates were inspected by the Expenditure Observers at Collector’s Office, The Nilgiris district, Udhagamandalam and show cause notices were issued to candidates who failed to furnish their statement of accounts.
