P.R.No:565- Applications are invited for setting up modern laundries

The Government of Tamil Nadu is implementing an innovative scheme with financial assistance to establish Modern Laundry units to improve the economic status of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Minorities, and Denotified Tribes in the state.

A subsidy of ₹3.00 lakhs is provided for the machinery, raw materials, and other preliminary expenses required to set up a Modern Laundry unit. To apply for this scheme, you must operate as a group of 10 individuals, and the annual income of each member should not exceed ₹1.00 lakh.

The District Collector, Mrs. Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, I.A.S., informed that those interested in benefiting from the above scheme are advised to contact the District Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Office, located at the Additional Collector’s Office, Finger Post, Ooty, the Nilgiris district, to obtain the appropriate application form and apply.(PDF 40KB)
