P.R.No:784- A local holiday is declared on the occasion of the Hethaiyamman festival in the Nilgiris district

In the Nilgiris District, on the occasion of the Hethaiyamman festival, the District Collector, Mrs. Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, IAS, has announced that since this local holiday does not fall under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the District Treasury and Sub-Treasuries will function with a limited number of staff to attend to urgent government security-related tasks. On the local holiday, Saturday, January 24, 2026, is hereby declared as a working day for the entire district.(PDF 45KB)
