Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls

The Election Commission of India has announced the undertaking of a Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Roll in Tamil Nadu and 11 other states and Union Territories, with January 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.

The objective of this exercise, which is being carried out after an interval of over two decades, is to ensure that the electoral rolls are accurate and error-free.(PDF 55KB)
