In the Nilgiris district, a special survey to identify out-of-school and school-dropout children aged 6 to 18 began on August 3, 2026, with the aim of achieving the goals of ‘All Children in Schools’ (ACIS) and ‘Zero Dropout.’ This initiative is being carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department, with the objective of ensuring 100% student enrollment for the 2026-27 academic year.
