P.R. No:553- Applications invited for the “Dr. Ambedkar Award” for the year 2026–2027

In Tamil Nadu, many individuals are engaged in commendable service toward the advancement of the Scheduled Castes, working for their social, educational, and economic progress, as well as their overall development.
In recognition of such significant and praiseworthy contributions—where individuals have dedicated themselves entirely to the upliftment of the Scheduled Caste community—the Government of Tamil Nadu confers the “Dr. Ambedkar Award” upon one person from the state, presented annually on Thiruvalluvar Day.
