1. Environmental Education and Training
2. Environmental Awareness
3. Environmental Protection
4. Research and Scientific Studies for a New Innovative Green products /Green technology.
5. Sustainable Development
6. Solid Waste Management
7. Water Conservation and Water Bodies Protection
8. Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation
9. Emission Reduction
10. Control and Recycling of Plastic Waste
11. Eco-restoration, Conservation Measures
12. Coastal Area Protection etc.,
13. Other Eco related projects

Last date of submitting proposal for Green Champion Award 2025 to the District Collector is 20^th January 2026.

Recommendations are invited for selecting a suitable awardee for the Tamil Nadu Government’s ‘Thanthai Periyar Award for Social Justice’ for the year 2025. Therefore, individuals in the Nilgiris District who have worked for social justice and have undertaken efforts that improved the quality of life of the public — and who possess achievements and qualifications in this regard — may send their applications to the District Collector, Nilgiris.
