Applications with proposals are invited from NGOs to conduct anti drug awareness programmes throughout the Nilgiris district as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abihaan(NMBA) programme. Interested and eligible NGOs may submit their application with proposal to the District Child Protection Officer, No.19, Additional Collectorate Building, Finger Post, Ooty within 19.07.2025.

The Nilgiris District is establishing a new position for (01) Tribal Counsellor in its Block Primary Health Centers (PHCs). These counsellors will be responsible for supervising comprehensive list carriers and diseased individuals within the tribal blocks of the district.

Applications are invited from eligible individuals belonging to the tribal community to fill these Tribal Counsellor positions on a contract basis. The deadline for submitting applications is 18.07.2025, by 5:00 PM.

Applications are invited for the vacant positions on a purely temporary and contractual basis at the Urban Health and Wellness Centre and the Siddha Unit, functioning within the premises of the Government Medical College Hospital, Nilgiris District, on or before 5:00 PM on 27.06.2025.

Applications are invited by the Director of Children Welfare and Special Services from the eligible candidates for appointment of Social Worker Member of the Juvenile Justice Boards. The Nilgiris under the provisions of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Social Worker Member for Juvenile Justice Board will be appointed by Government on a honorarium basis of which one shall be a woman and the position is not a Government employment.

The Tamil Nadu State Rural and Urban Livelihoods Mission, The Nilgiris District, is invites applications for the Manimegalai Award for the year 2024-25.

TNPCB intends to present Manjappai awards to the educational Institutions (schools & colleges) and commercial Establishments who proactively participate and make exemplary contributions towards the Meendum Manjappai campaign through internal initiatives and external awareness programs: The award will be presented to 3 best schools, 3 best colleges and 3 best commercial Establishments which effectively implement the ban on SUPs in their campus. The first prize will carry a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs, the second prize will be Rs. 5 lakhs, and Rs. 3 lakhs will be issued as the third prize. The criteria for evolving the best Plastic-free school/college/commercial Establishments are given in the Annexure.

Tentative Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Schedule (Apr’2024 – Mar’2025)

Farmers Grievance Day Programme in Nilgiris district will be held on 21.02.2025 at 11.00 am, Additional Collector’s Office Meeting Hall, Finger Post, Udhagamandalam.

Applications are invited to fill the following positions on a contractual basis:

1. Protection Officer (Non-Institutional Care) to work additionally in the Nilgiris District Child Protection Unit.
2. Social Workers to work in the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) under the jurisdiction of the Nilgiris District Police.

Applications are invited from the qualified Advocates to work as a Legal Aid Defense Counsel and qualified individuals to work as a supporting staff on Contract basis in the District Legal Services Authority, The Nilgiris as per the directions of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai in TNSLSA No.3910/S3/2022 dated 20.01.2025.
