Farmers Grievance Day Programme in Nilgiris district will be held on 17.11.2023 at 11.00 a.m.,  Additional Collector’s Office Meeting Hall, Finger Post, Udhagamandalam.

There are 15,698 eligible farmers in the Nilgiris district who have not received a Kisan credit card. Therefore, the farmers of the Nilgiris district are requested to participate in the camp and apply for Kisan Credit Card (KCC).

On the occasion of the centenary of Dr. Kalainar, Nilgiris District Administration, District Employment and Career Guidance Center and Udhagamandalam Rural Livelihood Mission / Mahalir Thittam are going to conduct a grand private sector employment camp on 04.11.2023 at Udhagai Government Arts College. Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Member of Parliament will also participate in this camp and issue appointment orders.

The government of Tamil Nadu through the Department of Social Welfare and Women’s Empowerment has issued a state award to highlight the girls between the ages of 13 and 18 who are working hard to ‘prevent crimes against girls’ and ensure education for all girls up to the age of 18 years. It has been announced and implemented since last year.
According to this, every year an outstanding child who has performed the above services is felicitated on National Girl Child Day (January 24) with a Certificate of Appreciation and a check of Rs.1 lakh.

Book Festival 2023-2024 on behalf of Nilgiris District Administration will be held from 20.10.2023 to 29.10.2023 at Tribal Cultural Centre, Udhagamandalam. More than 50 book stalls will be set up in this book festival and various books will be displayed. Also, on all the days of this book festival, art programs and literary discourse programs of school and college students will be held. Artists and writers will participate in these events and highlight the festival. This book festival will be held for the purpose of increasing the habit of reading books among the students and the general public. Admission is free for all. So everyone is requested to participate and benefit from this festival.
