Applications are invited by the Director of Children Welfare and Special Services from the eligible candidates for appointment of Social Worker Member of the Juvenile Justice Boards. The Nilgiris under the provisions of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Social Worker Member for Juvenile Justice Board will be appointed by Government on a honorarium basis of which one shall be a woman and the position is not a Government employment.

TNPCB intends to present Manjappai awards to the educational Institutions (schools & colleges) and commercial Establishments who proactively participate and make exemplary contributions towards the Meendum Manjappai campaign through internal initiatives and external awareness programs: The award will be presented to 3 best schools, 3 best colleges and 3 best commercial Establishments which effectively implement the ban on SUPs in their campus. The first prize will carry a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs, the second prize will be Rs. 5 lakhs, and Rs. 3 lakhs will be issued as the third prize. The criteria for evolving the best Plastic-free school/college/commercial Establishments are given in the Annexure.

Tentative Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Schedule (Apr’2024 – Mar’2025)

Farmers Grievance Day Programme in Nilgiris district will be held on 21.02.2025 at 11.00 am, Additional Collector’s Office Meeting Hall, Finger Post, Udhagamandalam.
