As the festival of Diwali is going to be celebrated on 12.11.2023, those who wish to run temporary crackers shops in the Nilgiris district should apply for a temporary crackers license under Explosives Act 1884 and Rules 2008 through Single Window System only. They are requested to apply their application through e-service centers with relevant documents by 22.10.2023 to get the above license.

To verify the functioning of the All India Emergency Alert System implemented by the National Disaster Management Authority, a mock trial disaster alert message is to be sent to mobile phones on 20.10.2023 through the Cell Broadcasting System by the Department of Telecommunications(DOT), Government of India.

The Nilgiris District, Integrated School Education, and District Differently Abled Welfare Office jointly organized a special free medical camp for differently abled students between 0 to 18 years of age under the Education Program in 2023-2024.
